Today, in the age of social media marketing, real estate entrepreneur Baskal Korkis uses platforms like Instagram not to sell to his followers, but instead to educate them. At just 14 years old, Baskal set off to build himself an empire by way of real estate investing. Going to school, working hours on end and building his business, Baskal willed his dream into reality. The lucrative business opportunity drove him to buy his first property at just 19 years old. By 23, he owned 10 buildings in the Clearwater area.
“I barely slept, but I was doing everything I wanted to do,” Baskal says.
Despite having attended school, Baskal now realizes how he’s accumulated much of his experience and knowledge from his own work as an entrepreneur. Learning the nuances of personal, business and real estate finances, as well as opening multiple businesses, Baskal has amassed years of experience to share with the world.

While many real estate entrepreneurs are solely focused on their own personal success, Baskal now spends his days sharing his own experiences and expertise on the business via Instagram. With over 93,000 followers, the Floridian cranks out daily posts and videos with tips on how to maximize finances, how-to videos on real estate construction, and encouraging messages.

Now with the platform of his growing Instagram following, he shares everything he’s learned over the years, encouraging his followers to make better decisions that will benefit them in the long run versus the short term.
“Everyone should educate themselves regarding their personal finances,” Baskal says. “Unfortunately, our current education system doesn’t offer this type of education. No one is going to help them but themselves and my goal is to teach people via social media for free.”
